Laurel Anne Creative
If you've been around for a while, you know I've been working as a photographer since I was 17 years old. Laurel Anne Photography was the name I chose because, well, I suck at coming up with cool names for things so I just picked my own and stuck with that.
But in the last few years, I've felt like the name I chose was keeping me from really being able to do all I've wanted to. It's part of being a creative, I think, knowing how to brand yourself or market yourself and how to even describe yourself. Laurel Anne Photography was a great name for building my image as a photographer, building up my freelancing business as a college student and even a little beyond.
It's time for a change, and I am so excited about it.
More than just photography. That's who I am, and that's what I want to be doing. More than just taking photos and editing them, because there's so much more to the creative world. And while photography is a great place to start and build up from, it's time to actually build stuff. Y'know?
Because creative entrepreneurs need more than beautiful photos sometimes. Working with small business owners recently, I've fallen in love with helping them achieve their goals and reach their potential. Coming alongside them and helping them turn their vision into reality. It takes a lot of creativity to make dreams come true, right?
That's where Laurel Anne Creative comes into play.
Writing blog posts and newsletters that will catch your clients' eyes, photographing products so you can showcase them to the world, helping you navigate the sometimes confusing world of social media, working on branding and marketing and finding great community along the way. Branding photos (some of my favorite things) so people can see YOU behind the business.
And, yes, the wonderful world of portrait photography is still included! It's photography I fell in love with as a kid, and it's photography that got me to where I am now in this venture. So don't think I'm going anywhere as your friendly neighborhood photo ninja. ;)
Basically, y'all, I'm joining my love of photography, writing, working alongside others, all my loves in this together in a way that will support and build up other creatives!
So bear with me for the next few weeks as I make this transition, this expansion of my creative venture. And while you're at it, check out the awesome logo my good friend Emma made for me! She's a creative as well and is doing some great things! You should follow her if you aren't already.
I'm so excited for all the things that are coming. :) If you haven't seen the changes yet or if you're just curious and would like to follow me in general, you can check out my Facebook and Instagram!
